We long for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of desperation that we must find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

Insomnia often feels like suffocating weight upon your mind and body. You toss and turn, searching for sleep to come. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity filled with anxieties and disappointment. This lingering state of wakefulness becomes a prisoner within the darkness.
Aching for Sweet Oblivion
The throes of oblivion was a siren's call, a gentle promise of escape. To fade in its shadows was to silence the incessant cacophony of existence. The reality's sharp edges dissolved under the lure of its calm.
To truly desire oblivion was to yearn for a passing respite from the weight of being.
